Plain Dutch Weave Woven Wire Cloth Mesh Count 24×110 to 100×900 with Diameters and Filtration Ratings
Mallas Wire Mesh Manufacturing Co. supplies Plain Dutch Weave Woven Wire Cloth, a precision-woven mesh designed for fine filtration and separation applications. This mesh is made from high-quality stainless steel wires (commonly SS304, SS316, or SS316L) woven in a pattern where warp wires are larger in diameter and more widely spaced than the finer weft wires. The close weft arrangement provides excellent mechanical strength and precise filtration performance. Typical mesh counts range from 24×110 to 80×700, with wire diameters between 0.15 mm and 0.45 mm, achieving filtration ratings from 5 μm to 100 μm. Available in widths of 1 m to 2 m and roll lengths up to 30 m, the material offers uniform pore distribution, resistance to corrosion, and durability under high pressure. Plain Dutch Weave Woven Wire Cloth is widely used in polymer melt filtration, hydraulic oil filters, gas and liquid separation systems, plastic extrusion, and fine particle screening in chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Features
- Structure and Design: Plain Dutch Weave Woven Wire Cloth is made with larger warp wires and smaller, tightly packed weft wires. This structure forms a dense mesh with high strength and fine filtration accuracy, used where precise separation of particles is required.
- Comparison with Other Weaves: Unlike Plain Weave, which has square openings, Plain Dutch Weave has no visible mesh openings and offers better filtration and strength. Compared with Twill Dutch Weave, it uses a simpler pattern for stable flow and easier cleaning.
Mesh Count (Warp × Weft)
Plain Dutch Weave mesh has asymmetric spacing between warp and weft wires to achieve fine filtration. These mesh counts are selected based on flow rate, filtration precision, and strength requirements.Common specifications include:
- 24 × 110 mesh
- 30 × 150 mesh
- 40 × 200 mesh
- 50 × 400 mesh
- 60 × 500 mesh
- 70 × 600 mesh
- 80 × 700 mesh
- 100 × 900 mesh
Wire Diameter (Warp × Weft)
The warp wire is thicker for strength; the weft wire is finer for precision.
- Warp wire diameter: 0.15 mm – 0.45 mm
- Weft wire diameter: 0.07 mm – 0.25 mm
Examples:
- 24×110 mesh: 0.36 mm × 0.25 mm
- 50×400 mesh: 0.25 mm × 0.14 mm
- 80×700 mesh: 0.16 mm × 0.10 mm
Filtration Rating (Micron Value)
- 60–100 μm
- 25–60 μm
- 5–25 μm
- Typical filtration accuracy used in polymer, oil, and gas systems: 5 μm, 10 μm, 25 μm, 40 μm, 60 μm, 80 μm, 100 μm.
Thickness of Mesh Cloth
The overall thickness depends on wire diameter and compression ratio, range 0.15 mm – 0.45 mm. Example values:
- 40×200 mesh: approx. 0.45 mm
- 80×700 mesh: approx. 0.25 mm
Roll and Sheet Size
- Roll width: 1.0 m, 1.2 m, 1.5 m, 2.0 m
- Roll length: 10 m, 20 m, 30 m
- Sheet size: 1.0 m × 2.0 m, 1.2 m × 2.4 m, custom cut sizes available
- Edge type: Cut edge, selvedge edge, or reinforced edge for filter discs
- Custom Sizes: Standard and custom sizes are available for production and installation.
Weight
Range: Depends on wire size and mesh density, 0.45 – 2.8 kg/m²
Example:
- 24×110 mesh ≈ 2.5 kg/m²
- 60×500 mesh ≈ 1.0 kg/m²
- 80×700 mesh ≈ 0.65 kg/m²
